Longing to travel to galaxies far, far away that might have inspired scenes in Star Wars?

Dave Fong of the Battle Point Astronomical Association will host a “Silly Star Wars Xmas Special” at Ritchie Observatory on Saturday, December 12th at 7:30 p.m.

Dr. Erica St. Clair, who runs the children’s astronomy group, will also host a Special Kids Show earlier that evening: fun hands-on experiments for all the kids, starting at 5 p.m. for preschoolers and 6 p.m. for elementary kids. If the sky is clear, astronomers will be on hand with telescopes for public star gazing afterward.

The “Silly Star Wars Xmas Special” will be free to members, with a $2.00 donation suggested for nonmembers and $5.00 for families.
